Before I share the photos I have taken,

I will first share the works of Helmut Newton

that has inspired me on the basis of controversy.
Newton had the ability to capture design
In eloquent fashion on a gray-scale.
His photos were published
In several editions of Vogue.
Images of high end fashion
portraying lifestyles of
the rich and famous.

A bit of history,
German born artist,
in the 1920s.

To me
Design
means intimacy

I feel in today's society,

geographically specific,

College Station,

Our town is viewed conservative as

A traditional majority,

of white, religious, conservative population.
I live in a bubble of a middle class american.

I wanted my photographs to disclose,

a minority.

I wanted my photographs to contradict

traditional formalities.

I wanted my photographs to Expose and

Reverse the roles
of the classic shots
of which I was referencing.

While highlighting controversial topics.

While Helmut Newton photographed

beautiful elitist of his time,

I photographed,

students,
friends,
of various
race
&
body shape.

Design

If done well

Revolutionizes

Entrances markets
With a must have product.
Art is unique to traditional market
It is subjective on all encounters.

Above all else
Design is intimate.
Gracing your eyes,
Obsessing your mind,
And grabbing your heart.

Black and white photos

Capturing in raw,

Exposes an intimate daily habit- bespoken

bare exposure expression
risque moments.

Newton- portrays religion in an exposing way

It is common to find

Marking and Advertising
using sexual innuendos
to their sell products.
because sex sells.
